  14.         PIXresizer is a tool for quickly generating screen-friendly versions of 
  15.         your images with dramatically reduced file sizes. It is a photo resizing 
  16.         program that enables you to quickly resize one file or a selection of 
  17.         image files for use on the web and in e-mail. The reduced files are saved 
  18.         in a different directory, so your original pictures are not changed. 
  19.         
  20.         The program offers several different resizing methods to choose from and 
  21.         can automatically recognize image sizes to calculate the best fit. 
  22.         PIXresizer includes a built-in image viewer and you can also convert 
  23.         between graphics formats: it opens and saves in .bmp, .gif, .jpg, .png, 
  24.         and .tif formats. A great companion for webmasters and digital 
  25.         photographers.

  35.         Windows 95 and Windows NT4 users need to have Internet Explorer 4.0 or 
  36.         higher installed.

  42.         Automatic installation (Setup.exe).

  44.         To uninstall:
  45.         double-click the 'Uninstall PIXresizer' icon in the Start menu, or go 
  46.         to Control Panel/Software/PIXresizer and click "Remove".

  50.         Usage

  52.         Using it is very easy.

  54.         [TO WORK WITH ONE FILE]

  56.         Click the 'Work with one file' tab and follow steps 1 to 4:

  58.         1. Load picture
  59.         2. Select new size
  60.         3. Select file format
  61.         4. Save picture

  63.         You can use the 'Apply recommended' button to set the options for you:
  64.         it will force a 600 pixels size (larger dimension) and the .jpg format.
  65.         (600 pixels is the recommended size for sending images via e-mail, and
  66.         posting on the web).

  93.         If you need to cancel the process, click the 'Click here to Cancel' 
  94.         label, just beneath the progress bar.

  98.         The time PIXresizer needs to complete the process depends on the number 
  99.         of images being processed, and their original sizes. Having the 
  100.         'Show Preview' on slows things down.

  102.         [SKIPPED FILES]

  104.         PIXresizer won't process files when they:
  105.                 - are in use
  106.                 - are not real images
  107.                 - are of the same size as your size setting
  108.         It will however produce a list of errored files for your examination 
  109.         afterwards.

  111.         *TIP*
  112.         To produce THUMBNAILS from your pictures move the slider all the way to 
  113.         the left. The pixel-box will show '96', which is the default size for 
  114.         thumbnails (larger dimension).
